Through expert instruction, carefully curated milestones, and constant guidance, students are able to learn, practice, and eventually master math, science, and English concepts so they can utilize them in the school classroom.
All of our courses are available virtually, using Zoom, Canvas, and Kami platforms.
MEK Learning Circles Overview
The MEK Learning Circles combine the one-on-one learning values of step-by-step concept instruction, immediate application, and instant teacher feedback with the group class benefits of active interaction and engagement. In small student groups of 8 or fewer, students meet with their teachers on a virtual platform to complete practice work and review work immediately, as well as participating in group activities that enhance classroom interaction and engagement.
Upon completion of an MEK evaluation test based on Common Core State Standards (CCSS), students are assessed in order to be placed into small groups, of which all students have similar skill levels and needs. This allows for a more individualized approach to learning, as all students’ needs will be met.
All MEK Learning Circle courses are available for students in grades 4-8. Classes are once a week for 90 minutes each.
