This Spring and Summer group course helps 7th and 8th graders ace their Honors Algebra classes by mastering key algebraic concepts and algebraic analysis. This course follows the course format and structure of the MEK Learning Circles

This course is perfect for students who want to place themselves on the advanced track for high school. This course also gives students an early head start on mastering SAT math skills.

Our Algebra II course helps students ace their Honors Math classes in the upcoming year by learning functions as a generalized approach to graphing and solving equations.

This course is offered in the Spring and Summer. In the Spring, students meet once a week for 20 weeks to reinforce concepts learned at school to fill any gaps in understanding due to the limitations of virtual learning. In the Summer, students meet twice a week for 8 weeks to target the next academic year’s math curriculum, in efforts to get ahead.

*Placement in Spring Algebra or Spring Algebra II is determined by initial test evaluation.

This Spring and Summer course is perfect for 8th graders/incoming freshmen who have placed in “Analysis” or “Advanced Analysis” at Bergen County Academies; entering Bergen Tech or Academies @ Englewood; or attending a STEM private or magnet school.

This course covers Pre-Calculus topics, such as theory of polynomials, trigonometry, and matrices.

In the summer, students meet twice a week for 8 weeks.

This Spring and Summer course covers key concepts in the subject, such as theorems, postulates, and deductive conclusions. It fully prepares students who need to master writing proofs and employ higher-level thinking skills, especially compared to middle school math.

Our Biology gives students a strong foundation in the subject by covering the essential concepts of molecular biology. It increases their confidence by helping them to navigate the more difficult terrain compared to middle school science, especially the increased amount of information and new, required lab experience.

Our Physics course focuses on introducing students to key physics concepts, including kinematics, dynamics, electricity, and magnetism.

Our AP Computer Science A program prepares students to determine code segments required to produce a given output. Students will also be able to find outputs, values, and results of given program codes given initial values while learning how to write, implement, and analyze program code.

The Fall course focuses on content mastery, aligned with AP Central, but paced more rigorously than the school course so that students are exposed to the class content before they are introduced to it in school. Thus, they are ready for classroom success.

Our AP English Literature and Composition program focuses on the essay writing portion of the AP English Literature & Composition exam. Students complete practice tests to reinforce test taking skills and strategies. Students also learn how to understand and analyze works of different genres, including Short Fiction, Poetry, Longer Fiction & Drama, and Literary Analysis. 

The Summer course is aimed toward classroom success, covering more than 60% of the upcoming academic year’s AP curriculum. 

The Fall course focuses on content mastery, aligned with AP Central, but paced more rigorously than the school course so that students are exposed to the class content before they are introduced to it in school. Thus, they are ready for classroom success. This course is available only through private tutoring.

Our AP English Language and Composition courses focus on the essay writing portion of the AP English Language & Composition exam. Students learn how to write different types of essays, including the Synthesis Essay, Rhetorical Analysis Essay, and Argumentative Essay, and complete practice tests to reinforce test-taking skills and strategies. Topics covered on the AP English Language and Composition curriculum are reviewed extensively.

AP Physics 1 covers concepts like systems, fields, force interactions, change, conservation, and waves. AP Physics 2 covers both AP Physics B and C topics, such as fluids, thermodynamics, electric fields and circuits, magnetism, and mechanics.

Our AP U.S. History Course Prep prepares students to analyze historical texts, interpretations, and evidence. Students learn all 9 historical periods from 1491 to present, as covered on the AP exams.
