FALL SESSION I
FALL SESSION II
Our BCA Prep course is an extensive test training program for current 8th-graders seeking admission for the Bergen County Academies High school (BCA), Bergen County Technical High School (BT), and Academies @ Englewood (A@E) — three of the top ranked high schools in the state of New Jersey.
Session I is all about test training: breaking old habits and building new, effective test-taking skills. Our course introduces students to high-level problem-solving while training them in logical thinking for Math and English.
Students will have weekly practice exams, homework assignments, and expert lectures.
Our Fall Session II: Competition course directly follows Session I and focuses on real full-length simulation tests that give students the scope of the actual admissions exam.
All BCA Prep students are organized into classes based on individual performance levels to accommodate different learning styles and more efficiently perfect test-taking skills.
Students will complete tests, homework assignments, attend highly-organized independent study halls, and work on building mental endurance and strength.
At MEK Review, we equip students with the right tools for acing the admissions exams at Bergen County Academies. Our expert teachers guide students with key strategies, proven materials, and clear objectives to lead them to success.
Students build up their test-taking skills and display performance progress through 9 Math practice tests, and 9 full-length simulation exams for both Math and English.
Our experienced teachers coach students on how to efficiently and accurately answer questions within given time constraints.
By the end of the program, students have encountered 2000+ math problems (800 directly from past BCA tests), and completed 30 literary analysis essays.
Before the due date, our expert teachers review all parts of a student’s application, give valuable feedback and help to revise the application essay.
BCA admissions test is at the beginning of the year. Our 3-day boot camp during the holiday break helps to fine-tune test-taking skills and build key momentum right before the exam.
For many 8th graders, this is their first encounter with a high-pressure performance test. We teach them how to handle the stress, competition, and techniques for mental stamina.
We strongly recommend that students begin promptly at the start date. After a certain date, new students will no longer be accepted into the program.

I got into Princeton! I just wanted to say thank you, thank you, thank you for all the hard work done on your part and the constant support I received. I would not be here had you guys not believed in me.
“With your professional and kind guidance, our son received a very high score in the writing part of the PARCC test. He has improved significantly since taking classes at MEK.”
Although it was an intensive program and it took up most of my summer, my improvements are clear, and I’m much more confident going in and taking the test than I was before the program.
