SAT/ACT Dual Prep
Dual Prep is a test prep strategy that teaches advanced, high-achieving students how to ace both the SAT and the ACT.
Our Dual Prep course uses key similarities between the two exams to help students master common material and reduce test-taking time. Students first undergo SAT preparation, and then transition into ACT preparation.
Preparing for both major college admissions exams is a great chance for students to cover all possible ground, become a test-taking expert and get into their dream school.
At MEK Review, we equip students with the right tools for big leaps in scores. Our expert teachers guide students with key strategies, proven materials, and clear objectives to lead them to success.
We monitor student progress and build up test-taking skills through full-length, professional College Board tests that stimulate test-day environments.
We don’t give out the answers — our teachers coach students on how to think. Each student learns strategies and skills for arriving at the right answers independently.
We offer detailed score reports that analyze student performance data after each practice test, a powerful tool that pinpoints areas of weaknesses and improvement.
We teach students to take ownership of their progress through persistent communications and feedback on improvements, weaknesses, and mindset.
Students receive benchmarks (mini-tests), skill drills, quizzes, and other key assignments to intimately learn SAT and ACT exam content and monitor their short-term progress.
We teach students test techniques that eliminate silly mistakes, increase mental endurance, recognize common SAT and ACT traps, and help them think like a test-maker.
Students in SAT/ACT Dual Prep will create an individualized test prep plan that fits their needs and target scores. However, every student begins with SAT Prep to master the more complex test-taking skills and content knowledge needed for this test. Then, they switch to the faster-paced, but more straightforward ACT. Below are examples of Dual Prep test prep schedules.
I got into Princeton! I just wanted to say thank you, thank you, thank you for all the hard work done on your part and the constant support I received. I would not be here had you guys not believed in me.
“With your professional and kind guidance, our son received a very high score in the writing part of the PARCC test. He has improved significantly since taking classes at MEK.”
Although it was an intensive program and it took up most of my summer, my improvements are clear, and I’m much more confident going in and taking the test than I was before the program.
