SAT Foundation Building

SAT Foundation is a group course, designed for students currently scoring an 1150 or below. This course increases foundational knowledge and improve study skills.

Students will master topics covered in the Reading, Writing, and Math sections of the SAT. Expert teachers will coach students to effectively improve study habits and boost the logical reasoning, reading comprehension, and problem-solving skills required to increase scores on the SAT.

Once students meet the minimum requirements to graduate from the course, they can move onto SAT 1400.

The course is 8 weeks, and 16 sessions. However, students who meet exit plan requirements may move on to SAT 1400 at any time after 4 weeks of the course.

SAT 1400:  Test Training

SAT 1400 is a group course for students with a target score of 1400+ on the SAT. A 1400 on the SAT places students in the top 5-10% of the nation for test-takers, and opens the doors to elite, competitive schools.

The course emphasizes full-length simulation tests and the application of specific MEK-taught skills to reach 1400+. Each session, students take a full-length practice test to build up mental endurance and master test-taking skills. Tests are followed by review with expert instructors, where students learn:

• Test Content
• Proven Strategies and Content-Related Skills
• Test-Taking Skills

Students must currently be scoring a 1200 to enter course or have successfully graduated from SAT Foundation.

Length varies depending on student target test date. We recommend at least 20 sessions for maximum results.

SAT 1500: Test Training

SAT 1500 is a group course for top-performing students with a target score of 1500+ on the SAT. A 1500 on the SAT places students in the top 1-2% of the nation for test-takers, and opens the doors to top 30 colleges.

The course emphasizes full-length simulation tests and the application of specific MEK-taught skills to reach 1500+. Each session, students take a full-length practice test of varying difficulty to build up mental toughness and stretch their test-taking skills. Tests are followed by review with expert instructors, where students learn:

• Test Content
• Proven Strategies and Content-Related Skills
• Test-Taking Skills

Also, students learn strategies to eliminate avoidable mistakes, answer questions more efficiently, and answer the most difficult SAT questions correctly.

Students must currently be scoring a 1300 to enter course or have successfully graduated from SAT 1400.

Length varies depending upon target test date. We recommend at least 20 sessions for maximum results.

SAT 1600:  Getting into Ivy League

SAT 1600 is an intensive group course for students dedicated to getting accepted into Ivy League or top 10 colleges by aiming for a perfect 1600 on the SAT.

In addition to full-length simulation tests, students are put in an intensive, boot camp atmosphere with other high-achieving performers. During this course, students will master proven strategies for climbing the final hurdles from elite scores to perfect scores.

Students must have already earned a 1500 on an official SAT to enter course.

Length varies depending upon target test date. However, the course requires a minimum of 6 weeks during Spring and Fall, and a minimum of 3 weeks during Summer.

TOOLS FOR STUDENT SUCCESS

Simulation Tests

We monitor student progress and build up test-taking skills through full-length, professional College Board tests that stimulate test-day environments.

Expert Instruction

We don’t give out the answers — our teachers coach students on how to think. Each student learns strategies and skills for arriving at the right answers independently.

Detailed Error Analysis Reports

We offer detailed score reports that analyze student performance data after each practice test, a powerful tool that pinpoints areas of weaknesses and improvement.

Constant Guidance and Communication

We teach students to take ownership of their progress through persistent communications and feedback on improvements, weaknesses, and mindset.

Quizzes, Drills and Benchmarks

Students receive benchmarks (mini-tests), skill drills, quizzes, and other key assignments to intimately learn SAT exam content and monitor their short-term progress.

Mindset Building

We teach students test techniques that eliminate silly mistakes, increase mental endurance, recognize common SAT traps, and help them think like a test-maker.

Schedule

Our course schedules are shaped around official SAT test dates during the year. To accommodate strict schedules, students may join a course or private tutoring at any time. However, we strongly recommend at least 20 sessions for maximum improvement in SAT scores.
