Evaluation is a powerful tool for learning. It helps us answer a key question: How far do we need to go to reach our individual goals?
At MEK, we take this question seriously. That’s why we thoughtfully design assessments that help students measure their progress with clarity and purpose.
We believe that understanding how far a student needs to go begins with recognizing how far they’ve already come. This approach honors their academic journey—both before and during their time at MEK.
Two Types of MEK Assessments
Entry Evaluations
These assessments help determine what content and skills a student needs to develop in order to succeed. Each test is carefully aligned with the required scope and content, ensuring students are well-prepared from the start
Ongoing Class Evaluations
All class materials are designed as assessments that track progress with clear, measurable data—much like engineering or math—so instead of simply saying a student is doing well, we can objectively state, for example, that they’ve achieved 80% of their target. Alongside these metrics, we always provide narrative feedback to praise and encourage students based on their actual achievements.
Targeted Evaluations by Program
Academic Evaluations (Grades 4–8)
Aligned with NJSLA standards through the Common Core State Standards (CCSS), these tests assess curriculum mastery and readiness.
Pre-High School Admission Tests
These evaluations measure students’ academic skills based on the specific content of competitive entrance exams.
BCA/BT Admission Test Prep
With 26 years of experience, MEK offers mock tests tailored for students preparing for BCA/BT admissions. These simulations give students a realistic preview of what to expect on test day—an invaluable experience for a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
SAT & ACT Prep
MEK provides digital mock tests that replicate the real exam environment. Students receive immediate scores and detailed analysis of their responses. This helps them identify strengths, target areas for improvement, and forecast their test prep success with confidence.
