Each course covers the same content, but with a focus on different parts of SAT Prep depending on students’ current score range.

 

We believe that strong reasoning skills are not just a requirement for the SAT, but for a strong college education. With this foundational goal in mind, we transform the concepts learned in the school classroom into reasoning skills necessary for successful testing.

 

Based on the results of your child’s SAT or ACT Practice Test, our dedicated counselors and expert instructors create an individualized test-prep timeline, which includes specific course recommendations, a comprehensive study plan, and practice materials for improvement and skill building through our Canvas platform.

 

Our average SAT student scores a 1450 or higher on their official exam, placing them in the top 5% of SAT test-takers in the nation. Plus, MEK students consistently improve 160+ points, with many students improving 200+ points within 20 sessions.

Core is a group course for 9th-10th grade students to receive early preparation for the SAT and to build CCSS-aligned reading comprehension, writing, and math skills. Students who complete this program can move straight into our SAT 1500 program.

 

Throughout Core Reading & Writing, students are exposed to a variety of texts and vocabulary. They receive step-by-step practice with word-in-context questions, close reading techniques, and writing essays. Throughout Core Math, students strengthen their number sense and algebra skills with practice.

 

Summer 2024 Schedule: 7 Weeks, 14 Sessions

Season: All Year

Format: Lectures are offered virtually or in-person at Palisades Park & Closter

SAT Foundation is a group course, designed for students currently scoring an 1150 or below. This course helps students build foundational knowledge and improve study skills.

 

Throughout the course, students are exposed to content-rich topics and question types found on the Reading, Writing, and Math sections of the SAT. They receive step-by-step guidance on the best methods of approaching lengthy word problems, finding reading evidence, and handling inference questions.

 

Students take weekly simulation tests right before lectures, during which they then go over the answers.

 

Summer 2024 Schedule: 7 Weeks, 21 Sessions

Season: All Year

Format: Lectures and simulation testing are offered virtually or in-person at Palisades Park and Closter

SAT 1400 is a group course for students with a target score of 1400+ on the SAT. Each session, students take a full-length practice test to build up mental endurance and master test-taking skills. Tests are immediately followed by review with expert instructors, where students learn:

 

  • Test Content
  • Proven Strategies and Content-Related Skills
  • Test-Taking Skills

 

Students must currently be scoring a 1200 to enter the course or have successfully graduated from SAT Foundation. Length varies depending on the student’s target test date. We recommend at least 20 sessions for maximum results.

Season: All Year

Format: Lectures and simulation testing are offered virtually or in-person at Palisades Park and Closter

SAT 1500 is a group course for top-performing students with a target score of 1500+ on the SAT. Each session, students take a full-length practice test of varying difficulty to build up mental toughness and strengthen their test-taking skills. Tests are followed by review with expert instructors, where students learn:

 

  • Test Content
  • Proven Strategies and Content-Related Skills
  • Test-Taking Skills
  • Problem-Solving Techniques 

 

Students must currently be scoring 1300 or higher to enter the course or have successfully graduated from SAT 1400. Length varies depending upon target test date. We recommend at least 20 sessions for maximum results.

SAT Advanced is a program designed for students who have taken an official SAT exam and are looking to reach their goal score with continued test prep.

 

Students take twice-weekly full-length simulation tests, develop time management skills, and continue to reinforce mastery of key SAT concepts. Our expert instructors strive to eliminate any test-day uncertainties through proven strategies, high stamina, and strong mindset. Through repeated practice and reinforcement, test-taking strategies become second-nature.

 

SAT 1500 Advanced

Season: All Year

Summer 2024 Schedule: 7 Weeks, 14 Sessions

Format: Lectures and simulation testing are offered in-person at Palisades Park or Closter

SAT Private Tutoring allows students to prepare for the SAT in a one-on-one setting with expert SAT instructors. During private sessions students will learn the same strategies as students in group SAT courses, but the focus and overall study plan will be specific to the student’s individual goals and needs

 

The length and frequency of the sessions are customized to the individual student. Private Tutoring is perfect for students who:

 

  • Need more individualized attention
  • Have busy schedules and cannot make group classes
  • Are struggling in group classes and need a few private sessions to catch-up
  • Are advanced and need a few private sessions to fine-tune their skills at an accelerated pace

GETTING STARTED

Every student interested in entering our College Test Prep program must complete the following steps:

Receive our detailed score report and meet with one of our Academic Counselors to discuss recommendations for next steps.

Enroll in the SAT program that best fits your child’s needs and academic goals.

 

Experienced test-takers, including students who have taken the official SAT at least one time, can use their results to register for SAT exam prep.
