MEK Review’s Advanced Placement program has helped students learn to ace tough Advanced Placement exams through a two-pronged approach of expert lectures and rigorous testing. The program is designed to enhance student learning in the school classroom and works to ensure a  depth of understanding that allows students to apply their knowledge confidently on the AP exam. MEK offers group and one-on-one classes for AP Biology, AP Calculus AB and BC, AP Chemistry, and AP U.S. History.

The MEK AP Course Prep programs are geared toward academic enrichment and helping students earn top grades in their AP classes through mastering essential AP course content. AP Course Prep aims to cover 60% of the AP course curriculum with a secondary focus on test-prep. These classes are offered in the Summer and Fall both in-person and virtually.

The AP Statistics program helps students build the statistical thinking mindset required for their AP Statistics course. Students also reinforce their problem-solving ability through practice and application. Topics covered include, but are not limited to: one- and two-variable data, collecting data, probability, variables, distributions, proportions, and chi-square. Through this course students prepare to earn a 5 on the official AP Exam.

 

Throughout the spring, AP Statistics is offered through private tutoring only and scheduled by appointment. During fall and summer students can participate in one-on-one School Support Tutoring or our group AP Course Prep to help them master their AP class.

The AP Computer Science A program prepares students to determine code segments required to produce a given output. Students will also be able to find outputs, values, and results of given program codes given initial values while learning how to write, implement, and analyze program code. Through this course students prepare to earn a 5 on the official AP Exam.

 

Throughout the spring, AP Computer Science A exam prep is offered through private tutoring only and scheduled by appointment. During fall and summer students can participate in one-on-one School Support Tutoring or our group AP Course Prep to help them master their AP class.

The AP English Literature and Composition program focuses on the essay writing portion of the AP English Literature & Composition exam. Students complete practice tests to reinforce test-taking skills and strategies. Students also learn how to understand and analyze works of different genres, including Short Fiction, Poetry, Longer Fiction & Drama, and Literary Analysis. Through this course students prepare to earn a 5 on the official AP Exam.

 

Throughout the spring, AP Literature and Composition is offered through private tutoring only and scheduled by appointment. During fall and summer students can participate in one-on-one School Support Tutoring or our group AP Course Prep to help them master their AP class.

The AP English Language and Composition courses focus on the essay writing portion of the AP English Language & Composition exam. Students learn how to write different types of essays, including the Synthesis Essay, Rhetorical Analysis Essay, and Argumentative Essay. They also complete practice tests to reinforce test-taking skills and strategies. Topics covered on the AP English Language and Composition curriculum are reviewed extensively. Through this course students prepare to earn a 5 on the official AP Exam.

The AP Calculus course focuses on AP Calculus AB and BC. Students learn to effectively solve college-level calculus problems that cover topics such as functions, graphs, limits, derivatives, integrals, and polynomial approximations. Through this course students prepare to earn a 5 on the official AP exam.

 

Group test prep courses are offered in the spring only. During fall and summer students can participate in one-on-one School Support Tutoring  or our group AP Course Prep course to help them master their AP class.

The AP Physics courses are divided into 3 levels: AP Physics 1, AP Physics 2, and AP Physics C. In all levels, students learn algebra-based physics concepts, as covered on the AP exams. AP Physics 1 covers concepts like systems, fields, force interactions, change, conservation, and waves. AP Physics 2 covers both AP Physics B and C topics, such as fluids, thermodynamics, electric fields and circuits, magnetism, and mechanics. Through this course students prepare to earn a 5 on the official AP Exam.

 

Group test prep courses are offered in the spring only. During fall and summer students can participate in one-on-one School Support Tutoring or our group AP Course Prep to help them master their AP class.

The AP Chemistry course teaches students comprehensive content for the AP Chemistry test. Students learn the principles of chemistry and how to solve advanced chemistry problems effectively and accurately. Through this course students prepare to earn a 5 on the official AP exam.

The AP Biology course teaches students comprehensive content for the AP Biology test. Students learn to master the main topics and subcategories for the test such as evolution, energetics, information storage and transmission, and systems interactions, while also learning proven test-taking strategies. Group test prep courses are offered in the spring only. During fall and summer students can participate in one-on-one School Support Tutoring or our group AP Course Prep to help them master their AP class.

The AP U.S. History courses prepare students to analyze historical texts, interpretations, and evidence. Students learn all 9 historical periods from 1491 to the present, as covered on the AP exams. Students also learn how to craft well-developed responses for the short answer and essay portions of the test. Through this course students prepare to earn a 5 on the official AP Exam.

 

Group test prep courses are offered in the spring only. During fall and summer students can participate in one-on-one School Support Tutoring or our group AP Course Prep to help them master their AP class.

The AP Test Prep programs are designed to help students learn proven test-taking strategies that will get them top scores on the challenging AP exam. Through a combination of practice tests and review, students build the skills and mental stamina to walk into test day with confidence. These classes are offered in the Spring.

The French Language and Culture program is designed to teach students how to interpret and express thoughts in written and spoken French. Students also learn how to assess practical applications of the French language in cultural settings, based on specific themes. Through this course, students prepare to earn a 5 on the official AP Exam.
