Student of the Week: Ganeev Sachar

Student of the Week

Each week of summer, MEK Review teachers nominate a student to be awarded Student of the Week. This student is chosen due to his or her amazing performance, inspiring improvement, or great attitude in our Summer courses.

For Week 2, our teachers nominated Ganeev Sachar from our SAT 1400 course!

“Ganeev is the most eager student in my class and he often volunteers to help solve questions from the SAT tests. His effort has made him an early candidate to graduate to the 1500 level which is an environment he should also thrive in.”

– Justin Kim, SAT Math 1400

Meet Ganeev

Out of over 500 students, Ganeev was chosen by his teachers to be Student of the Week because of his consistent effort, positive attitude, and active participation.

Let’s learn a little bit more about our Student of the Week:

What do you like about your MEK classes so far?

I love my teachers and their strategies on how to solve problems. They teach me methods to questions that I’ve never seen from anyone before.

What have you learned so far?

In English, I have expanded my ability to understand the main idea of texts and each phrase or sentence in a passage, along with fitting the right vocabulary word into the passage. In Math, I have learned how to solve questions as efficiently as possible, while also being careful with silly mistakes and trap answers.

What colleges or field of study are you interested in pursuing?

As a rising junior in High School, I plan on majoring in Political Science and minoring in either International Business or Business Administration

What activities do you like to do outside of MEK and school?

Outside of MEK, I participate in Debate, Model UN, and DECA. At home, I like to play basketball or hang out with my friends.

Way to go, Ganeev!

We’re so proud of our hardworking Student of the Week. We can’t wait to see what you’ll accomplish next!
