The Spring Tutoring program, designed for students in grades 4-12, successfully concluded its semester. With 70 students enrolled in 23 different tutoring subjects over Spring 2025, the program aimed to get students to their academic and admissions goals through one-on-one specialized instruction tailored to their needs.
To evaluate the effectiveness of their experience, students completed a seven question, 5-point scale survey. The results reflect a highly positive result across all key areas:
- Instructor Satisfaction: 5 / 5.0
- Instructor Knowledge: 5 / 5.0
- Class Engagement: 5 / 5.0
- Curriculum Quality: 5 / 5.0
- Satisfaction with Progress: 4.5 / 5.0
These scores indicate a consistent level of excellence in instruction, instructor knowledge, class engagement, and curriculum quality.
Student Reflections and Feedback
Student comments provided valuable insights into their learning experience. They felt that they improved their school course and exam grades by the end of their tutoring sessions through the curriculum materials, including resources, assignments, and practice opportunities, provided by their instructors.
MEK instructors cared about their students’ progress and success and were knowledgeable in their content area.
Looking Ahead
Following the completion of this program, students can continue their tutoring sessions or move on to group classes, depending on their grade level and goals. The learning experience, strategies, and skills they’ve acquired serve as a strong springboard for future academic and admissions success that translates to their classes outside of MEK.
