What are MEK Learning Circles (MLC)? 

MLC, or MEK Learning Circles, are small group classes to help your child stay ahead this summer. Our Learning Circles are for students in grades 4 through 8, and our expert instructors teach using the Common Core State Standards (CCSS) for each grade level. Students will expand their understanding of class topics and tactics for school success so that they’re starting the new school year with confidence!

New afternoon classes! 

We know summer is a busy time. Many of our students also attend summer camp, making it difficult, if not impossible, for them to spend the day at MEK. That’s why we’ve added afternoon-to-evening classes, accommodating those students who attend camp. 

Now, your child can go to camp during the day and come to MEK once camp is over. 

Easier registration! 

This summer, you can sign up for MEK’s Learning Circles without taking an evaluation test! We’ve waived our evaluation requirement just for the summer, to make scheduling and registration as easy as possible. 

Your child will be placed in a Learning Circle for their grade level. 

Newly designed schedules for easier pickup and drop-off! 

If you want to register your child for more than one class this summer, we’ve made it so that pickup and drop-off is easier than ever. You can sign up for back-to-back classes in the same day, so that you’re not constantly driving back and forth. 

That way, your child can spend the day with MEK, and you only need to do one pickup and drop-off! Give us a call, and we can work with you to build a schedule that best fits your needs. 

Prorated classes! 

Again, we know that summer is a busy time. Many of you are traveling or have various other commitments. If you’re on the fence about registration because you’re worried about missing a week, there’s no need to worry anymore! All of our classes are prorated, so you only need to pay for the weeks your child can attend. 

Bridge into fall MLC 

When you sign up for one of MEK’s Math and/or English summer Learning Circles, your child can automatically bridge into MLC Critical Reading and MLC Problem Solving Math in the fall! 

This allows your child to jump into the next level of classes, giving them a head start into the new school year. By taking a summer class at MEK, your child will be on the path to academic success.
