Student of the Week: Joaquín Chicón, Grade 11

Student of the Week

Each week of summer, MEK Review teachers nominate a student to be awarded Student of the Week. This student is chosen due to his or her amazing performance, inspiring improvement, or great attitude in our Summer courses.

For Week 7, our teachers nominated Joaquín Chicón from our Honors Precalculus Course!

“Joaquín is a hard-working individual who not only scores high but actively participates in all class discussions.”

– Demir Radoncic, Honors Precalculus Instructor

Meet Joaquín

Out of over 545 students, Joaquín was chosen by his teachers to be Student of the Week because of his incredible dedication, high scores, and his engagement in class.

Let’s learn a little bit more about our Student of the Week:

The amount of coverage I get in a topic after such a short period of time.

What have you learned to this point?

I have learned how to take a lot of notes in a small amount of time and how to manage my time in order to complete all of my homework.

What colleges or field of study are you interested in pursuing?

STEM or international affairs

What activities do you like to do outside of MEK and school?

I like to play soccer, baseball, and volleyball as well as playing the trumpet.

Way to go, Joaquín!

We’re so proud of our hardworking Student of the Week. We can’t wait to see what you’ll accomplish next!
