Student of the Week: Audrey Kim
Student of the Week
Each of the 7 weeks of summer, MEK Review teachers nominate a student to be awarded Student of the Week. This student is chosen due to his or her amazing performance, inspiring improvement, or great attitude in our Summer courses.
For Weeks 7 & 8, our teachers nominated Audrey Kim from our MEK Learning Circles program!
“Audrey has the highest class average out of 7 MLC classes that I teach. She also shows great work ethic and morale by always turning work in on time and communicating about questions prior to class time and also participating in class by voluntarily answering questions or showing work at the white board.”
– Rebekah Shore, MLC Math Teacher
Meet Audrey
Out of over 500 students, Audrey was chosen by her teachers to be Student of the Week because of her hard work, positive attitude, and active participation.
Let’s learn a little bit more about our Student of the Week:
What do you like about your MEK classes so far?
I like my MEK classes so far and I’ve learned a lot, all over one summer. I like MEK classes because I can learn topics well, yet quickly. My teacher is great, and this was only my first class!
What have you learned so far?
I’ve learned a bunch of different topics, like inequalities, algebraic equations, percentages, coordinate planes, and absolute value. I’ve also reviewed topics, like decimal and fraction problems.
What is your favorite subject in school?
My favorite subject in school is English, but I like math as well. English I enjoy because I want to be an author when I grow up.
What activities do you like to do outside of MEK and school?
I have a lot of hobbies. I like to read books, write stories (especially fantasy), play tennis, and hang out with friends and family.
Way to go, Audrey!
We’re so proud of our hardworking Student of the Week. We can’t wait to see what you’ll accomplish next!
