Student of the Week: Sohan Chakravorty
August 9, 2023
Each of the 7 weeks of summer, MEK Review teachers nominate a student to be awarded Student of the Week. This student is chosen due to his or her amazing performance, inspiring improvement, or great attitude in our Summer courses.
For Weeks 5 & 6, our teachers nominated Sohan Chakravorty from our SAT Prep Courses!
“Since the outset of the summer semester, he has been a model student, scoring consistently well on all his homeworks and tests across all subject areas. He received perfect 1600s on his last two simulation tests, and thus far on the writing end, he has already achieved a total of six perfect scores.”
– Chris Cullen, SAT 1500 Advanced Instructor
Out of over 500 students, Sohan was chosen by his teachers to be Student of the Week because of his consistent progress, hard work, and active participation.
Let’s learn a little bit more about our Student of the Week:
I like how the teachers encourage me to do better on my tests and are really good at motivating me. I also enjoy how I can have one-on-one conversations with my teachers and talk with them about topics other than just SAT prep – it gives a sense of comfort in the classes that allows me to learn more effectively.
My classmates and I have learned various concepts, skills, and strategies related to the SAT test. These vary from general rules within the test to niche concepts to help us understand questions that will place us in the 99th percentile, as well as learning how to play with numbers and manipulate questions and their answer choices.
I am heavily invested in finance, and plan to pursue it in the future alongside economics or computer science. I look to attend universities which specialize in the majors I find most attractive once time comes to apply.
I enjoy fencing competitively, as well as biking and going on morning runs.
We’re so proud of our hardworking Student of the Week. We can’t wait to see what you’ll accomplish next!
