Student of the Week: Grace

Student of the Week

Each of the 7 weeks of summer, MEK Review teachers nominate a student to be awarded Student of the Week. This student is chosen due to his or her amazing performance, inspiring improvement, or great attitude in our Summer courses.

For Week 3, our teachers nominated Grace from Closter Campus’s Non-Fiction Reading course!

Meet Grace

Grace from Non-Fiction ReadingGrace is a 5th grade Non-Fiction Reading and Math Lab student. She was nominated as Student of the Week for Week 3 because of her great improvements.

Her presentation on STEM and STEAM education wowed her teacher!

Quote from Grace:

“I like the articles [in Non-Fiction Reading class] and I have learned how to make presentations.”

Quote from Grace’s parents:

“Grace likes reading much more now!”

Quote from Grace’s teachers:

“Grace has shown notable improvement in her efforts for NFR! This week, she brought in two interesting posters that illustrated her assigned topic — why schools should not implement the STEM education model in their curriculums but instead maintain a balance of subjects to encourage and foster creative thinking.”

– Kathy Kim, Non-Fiction Reading Teacher

Way to go, Grace!

We’re so proud of our hardworking Student of the Week and can’t wait to see what you’ll accomplish next.
