Today, the Bergen County Academies and Bergen Tech have officially announced that the official entrance exam for Fall 2024 admissions will take place on December 9th and 10th, 2023, as opposed to the expected entrance exam date of January 6th and 7th, 2024. This major change is unprecedented, and have major implications for students and their test prep processes.
Unlike the SSAT, ISEE, HSPT, SAT, or ACT, the BCA/BT Entrance Exam is, quite literally, a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. There is no second chance, no retake, and no other point of entry. Students have one chance to take a 105-minute test for 9th grade admissions. This is why, over 24 years of MEK Review’s BCA/BT Prep Program, we have built in so much intensity and rigor into our signature 18-week program.
The integrity of the 24-year history of BCA/BT Prep at MEK Review cannot and will not be shaken with this change. With each change that this entrance exam has brought us, our program has become stronger, more rigorous, and more successful. And this change will be no different.
Students enrolled in our 2023 BCA/BT Prep Program will receive the same course materials, learning objectives, and learning outcomes as our students who have been enrolled in previous years. While the course has been shortened from 18 weeks to just 14, we have redesigned our program to make sure it contains the proven ingredients that have led our students to success, time and time again.
With these ingredients, we know that our students will reach success in their high school admissions and beyond.
