SAT Test Prep: Week 5 Feedback

SAT Test Prep: Week 5 Feedback

Week 5 of the MEK Fall 2020 semester has passed, and to ensure the quality of learning for each student, we have conducted feedback surveys with the following goals in mind:

  1. To assess the effectiveness of the MEK programs
  2. To determine satisfaction with the courses
  3. To evaluate the level of engagement in the virtual group class

About MEK College Test Prep

The MEK College Test Prep program has been redesigned and improved with every COVID-related update that has come our way. The courses are aimed towards mastering topics covered in the Reading, Writing, and Math sections of the SAT while honing students’ test taking skills in simulated practice exams virtually and now on-site with our newly renovated Closter campus. Tests are followed by a comprehensive review with our expert instructors where students will learn test taking strategies and improve their skills on SAT content.

Our results have a sampling of all of our SAT group classes.

Question 1: How would you rate your satisfaction with each of the following courses?

Our students have reported that they are generally very satisfied with the program! While there are a handful of students who report being unsatisfied, our SAT teachers are working tirelessly to make sure that each student finishes the course as satisfied as possible.

Question 2: How would you describe each of the following classes in terms of engagement?

Classroom engagement is an aspect that we, at MEK, are always concerned about. In order for the best results, students need to be engaged and interested in what they are learning. Fortunately, our students report that they are largely engaged! We are always working toward more classroom engagement by looking for points of improvement in our lectures and assignments.

Question 3: How would you rate your instructors’ knowledge in each of the following classes?

Our expert instructors are indeed highly knowledgeable in the courses that they teach, and highly trained in the art of teaching. We are glad that this level of knowledge and training has been conveyed to students in the class.

Question 4: What do you like most about your MEK Review course?

Below are some of the comments that our students gave us:

“The practice tests.”

“I love how engaging and knowledgeable the teacher’s are. They also explain very well.”

“I like that we can get explanations about the problems we got wrong, so we can correct our mistakes for the future.”

“I like the writing teacher, she is very clear, explains the rules, and my score has boosted from it. I feel like I know so much more.”

“It motivates me to do incremental preparation, meaning I do a handful of practice problems a day, I invest myself in the homework, and then I excel on the practice tests. Also, the classes are very informative and engaging.”

“The feeling of competition. Every student in the class is very smart and disciplined and it motivates me to improve my studying habits not just in SAT but in other areas of life as well.”

“While it’s class on top of school, the friendly yet knowledgeable instructors make the SAT approachable.”

“They don’t just teach concepts, they also teach strategies on how to approach problems.”
